A Bible Verse

Ephesians 4:31-32

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

This was the daily verse on my phone today. How appropriate for me and how I'm feeling! I was feeling so much anger towards my son for all of yesterday's happenings.

As always, I'm working on this and just wanted to share!

  1. Bless your heart! Glad He sent you a "get well" note, of sorts! ;)

So, my real reason for stopping by is that I just read a post on someone's blog about how food coloring allergies affect moods and can make people violent and angry. I hope this doesn't sound bad, but I thought of you and your son when I read it. No idea if this would even be close to helpful to you, but I'd rather be wrong and share than be right and keep it to myself.

Here's the blog I saw it on. Been praying for you and am anxious to hear some good news about tomorrow's appointment! :)

  2. Isn't it a blessing when God can give us perspective through his word, how He can take away our intensity and remind us that He is with us through all of this pain.

I was given this scripture at a retreat recently:
Psalms 55:22 Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall.

I hope the week is getting better.

  3. I know it is so hard. My husbands mother found out that he was allergic to food coloring when he was 3. Before that she said that she never slept. That my husband would be fine, then go off about something/anything. He would slap at her. He would hide in a closet and not want anyone to touch him. He could not focus. One day she read an article about food coloring and artificial flavors/preservatives. She cut out all coloring. All favoring. She read all the labels. She said within 4 days he was a completely different child. Our daughter has the same allergy. I can remember she was about a year old. We gave her grape cough syrup. I remember that she screamed for two hours and kept banging her head on the floor. We could not get her to stop. If I did not know what set her off. If I did not know that it was the coloring. I don't know what I would do? We watch everything she eats. I really get funny about it. But it is so not worth the consequences if I let her have the coloring.
I hope this helps. If you need talk just send me an email.
